Procurement - NHS South West London
Procurement

Procurement refers to the purchasing of goods, works and services from third parties or an in-house provider. This term covers all aspects of the purchasing process, from identifying a need for the goods or services to replacing these goods or re-tendering this service at the end of the contract term.

Nationally the NHS spends over £17 billion on goods and services. Therefore, it’s important that effective procurement processes are in place to ensure best value for both the NHS trust concerned and the local residents it is responsible for.
